THE PAUL CARLON OCTET
The Paul Carlon Octet, born in 2002, established itself performing primarily Paul's original compositions as well as arrangements of traditional songs and music by artists such as Billy Strayhorn and Baden Powell. The Octet takes as its jumping-off point the desire to mix orchestral jazz with styles from all over North and South America and the Caribbean.
OTHER TONGUES
Our first CD, released in 2006, features our original blend of jazz, latin, and world music influences as well as Special Guests vocalist Ileana SantamarĂa, tenor player Buddy Terry, and RumbaTap artist Max Pollak.

Picking up where our first CD left off, Roots Propaganda, released in 2008, again features Max Pollak as well as vocalist Christelle Durandy and guitarist Pete Smith. Delving deeper into Afro-Cuban and Afro-Brazilian roots, the album also takes a deeper look at Delta Blues.
